Privacy and terms

Elsetest is made by Claes Svensson IT AB (org.nr 556997-4503), Rovägen 2, 74142 Knivsta, Sweden. In short: we only keep what we need to run your account. We never see the sites you test, your logs or your videos: they stay on your computer.

What it connects to

What it installs

Elsetest needs no administrator rights, installs no services, and doesn't start by itself. It puts files only here:

To uninstall Elsetest, delete the program and these folders. On Windows, you can uninstall it under Installed apps instead.

What it sends us

It never sends us the addresses or content of the sites you test, your logs, videos or screenshots, the usernames and passwords you give it for logging in to your sites, or your AI keys.

Every download from elsetest.com is checked before it's used: new versions against a list we sign with a key that never leaves our own computer, ffmpeg against a checksum built into Elsetest.

Privacy

Claes Svensson IT AB is responsible for the personal data described here (the data controller, under the EU's General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR).

What we keep, and why

The website uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts or fonts. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.

Who else handles it

Both handle the data only on our behalf, within the EU.

How long we keep it

Your rights

You may ask us what data we have about you, and to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it: email us. You can also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, IMY.

By downloading or using Elsetest you agree to these terms.

Test only what you're allowed to test

Elsetest clicks, types and submits forms at random. It can create, change and delete data on the sites you test, and it types input that looks like attacks, which can set off security alerts. Test only sites you own or have permission to test, preferably a test or staging copy rather than the live site. You're responsible for what your tests do to the sites you test. Don't use Elsetest to attack, overload or get into sites you aren't allowed to.

Your account and testing time

Using the program

You may use Elsetest to test sites for yourself or for your work. Don't copy, sell, reverse engineer or modify it, or get around its counting of testing time. If you use an AI provider with Elsetest, their terms apply to that use too.

No guarantees

Elsetest is new, and we improve it all the time. It's provided as it is, without any guarantee that it finds every bug, or any particular bug, or that it works without interruption. Our liability for any damage is limited to what you have paid us in the 12 months before it, except where the law doesn't allow that, such as for damage caused deliberately or by gross negligence. If you're a consumer, these terms don't limit the rights the law gives you.

Changes and ending

We may change these terms, and say so here with a new date; for bigger changes, we'll also email you. You can stop using Elsetest at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may close an account that breaks these terms.

Law

Swedish law applies, and disputes are settled by Swedish courts. If you're a consumer in the EU, you also keep the protection of your own country's law, and in Sweden you can turn to the National Board for Consumer Disputes, ARN.
