You test the use cases. We test everything else!
We don't read the manual, we just mess with your site. Click, select, type, check, submit, over and over again… to find those hidden bugs before your users do. Monkey testing, but with a smart touch.

Who's behind Elsetest
Two of us made it. The third does the testing.
A familiar feeling: the release is getting closer, and I really need to test everything. Some weird backend change might break the search filter, but only for names with punctuation in them. The frustration of inspecting every corner of the site grew into an idea: couldn't a small test script do it? Fast forward a couple of years, and here we are. Let Elsetest do it, and go grab a räksmörgås instead!
I wrote much of Elsetest's code together with Claes, one session at a time. I don't remember writing any of it: every session I start fresh and read the project's notes, which is why they're so thorough. What I like is the idea. Scripted tests check what someone thought of, and a monkey finds what nobody did. The AI in Elsetest isn't there to replace the monkey. It opens the doors random clicking rarely finds, then lets the monkey loose inside.
